I've been lagging on this blog but with reason: I haven't been feeling the greatest for over a week now and ever at this moment I don't feel my best. My lower back started hurting a lot last week and I don't know if it was from the arthritis I have or what, and then I had some Flexerol rubbed on it and since then I've been having breathing problems. Of course I've been having problems with that for a while now, after having a nagging cough for a couple of months.
My back finally feels better (knock-on-wood) but still having the breathing problems and not getting a lot of sleep at night. Now you might think I would go to a doctor about this, and guess what? I DID!! I had an appointment on Monday as a follow-up to my ER visit back in December, and my doctor said my lungs sounded okay. And sometimes they do feel okay and I can breathe, but other times I can't get a deep breath. But I never seem to be at that stage when I'm by a doctor so they can see what I mean. Figures, right?
Anyway, I am being scheduled for another CT scan as the one I had showed a few "abnormalities", which is never a good word to have used on you, likewise "unusual". On the bright side though, my pancreas was "unremarkable" and that's a good word to hear, especially when it comes to the pancreas. Don't think I would want to hear "unusual" or "abnormal" about my pancreas, given my mom's diagnosis.
I also had blood drawn and they called me the very next day to tell me that my thyroid levels were "abnormal" too...but I can't remember if I took my meds Sunday or not, and actually I don't think I did but I don't know if it should throw it off that much. In any case, I have to go back within 2 weeks and have more blood drawn for another reading so we'll see, and then on the 31st I have an appointment with endocrinology to go over it.
I gotta say getting old sucks.
